ππ Tulhuayacensis β Chonky Grenade Pup
Tulhuayacensis taken from the Lotusland collection in Montecito. Howβd I get it? Well β¦ CRIME! Β Not really, Β I have a friend that was a Docent/Guide at Lotusland who was allowed to take cuttings on occasion. She described it as βdumpster privilegesβ, because cuttings were only available from trimmings. Β Note β itβs difficult to find many photos of Tulhuayacensis online, and this one looks very different from Patrick Knollβs example on Trichocereus.net. Β His looks a bit like a Cuzco, while this one looks like a beautiful top shelf fancy pants Peruvianus with insanely great color. Β Chunkyfat 6+β pup to be cut upon purchase. Note: Last 2 pics show older growth, before I first cut it last summer.

Why the βπβ? Β This means Kingstock, extra primo, and is usually only applied to named clones, though on rare occasions I apply it to a hybrid listing.Β
Instruction for Cut-To-Order cuttings β> lay this on its side indoors in a dry place for a minimum of 2 additional weeks while the sulphur-coated callous fully hardens (do this before ever placing upright in dry medium).
